For some people things go very smoothly, while others are still a bit uneasy in front of the camera or want to try out different things. That’s why I take plenty of time for everyone and try to create a relaxed atmosphere.

Tips for a good profile photo
You can use the following tips to prepare for the photo shoot:
Clothing
- Pay attention to your clothes. Wear clothes that you feel comfortable in, but take your position and company culture into account.
- A profile photo is not seasonal. Take this into account when choosing clothing.
- A jacket or jacket can contribute to a business appearance.
- Would you rather wear a blouse or shirt? Preferably choose long sleeves, but in any case not very short sleeves or bare shoulders.
- The color of a basic garment such as a jacket or shirt is very important. Bright colors sometimes distract attention from the face. Dark colors work better, and earth colors usually work very well.
- Do not opt for busy motifs such as letters or Hawaiian print, but rather opt for more plain fabrics. These give a calmer image and appear more businesslike.
- Make sure your cleavage is not too exposed. Just to be safe, bring a necklace or scarf.
- A V-neck makes slimmer than a round neck.
- No wrinkles (so ironing!).
- If necessary, bring some extra clothing: shirt, tie, scarf, necklace.
- Show your clothes to someone else in advance. If you have any doubts about your choice and would like to discuss it, you can email me a photo.
Face
- Do you like the sun? Try to avoid being photographed with a face that is too tan or sunburned!!
- Take the photo shoot into account in your planning: make sure you appear rested in the photo.
- You are responsible for your own makeup. In general, excess is harmful!
- Brushing your teeth beforehand is always good for your smile!
- Gentlemen: if the photo is taken in the morning, it is better to shave the night before.
I don't want to have my picture taken
- “I’m not photogenic.” > Indeed, not everyone is equally photogenic. That is why it is wise to go to a professional photographer. A good portrait photographer emphasizes your strengths and knows how to cover up your weaknesses.
- “I can’t laugh on command.”> You don’t have to! Laughter is not required. A smile can add value to a photo, but that is not necessary. Of course, it also depends on your position and what you want to convey, whether you want to be photographed with a smile.
- “I do not have that much time. Why do you take so many photos, one photo is enough, right?” > Don’t underestimate the power of a photo. The first thing people see of you is your profile photo, so it is important for the first impression. If you look a bit strangely into the lens or your skin is a bit shiny, it will detract from your presentation. The profile photographer can give you expert advice about this. Investing half an hour now can yield a lot later.
- “I’d rather not put my head on the internet.” > This is a personal choice, no one can force you to do so. But realize that a profile photo offers you the opportunity to present yourself in a positive way, in the way you want.
- Afterwards, most people say that they enjoyed having their picture taken. Because the photo is a joint product, everyone is ultimately enthusiastic about the result. But: if we really cannot reach an agreement during the photo session, then the following applies: no cure, no pay. At least we tried it!

Method
1 Make a Reservation
Make a reservation online for a photo shoot in my studio.
- The available times are immediately visible, no complicated login procedures.
- You will receive confirmation and practical tips by email on how to prepare for the photo shoot.
- You can easily reschedule or cancel the appointment up to 24 hours in advance.
2 Fotoshoot
During the photo shoot we work together as much as possible. So the shoot is not something you undergo, you also have an influence! I think it is important that we are both satisfied with the result.
- The photo shoot lasts a maximum of 30 minutes (for a basic photo shoot) to 1 hour (for an extensive shoot). Whatever option you have chosen, I always take plenty of time.
- We take several photos. In between we look at the photos together on a screen. You can then indicate whether you want to adjust or try something out. And I can give you feedback.
- During the extensive photo shoot you can try on different outfits.
3 Choose a photo
I will send you the images that we selected together. At home you can look at the photos (with watermark) again and possibly show them to your partner, family and friends. Have you made a choice? Pass it on to me and I will continue with the post-processing.
NB. For the budget-express shoot, we choose a photo immediately after the shoot, which I will email you directly after payment.
Do you want multiple photos? Which can! An additional photo costs E 30 (for post-processing and optimization).
4 Photoshop
I will edit the photo you have chosen with Photoshop. This involves cosmetic retouching, such as removing imperfections in the skin and adjustments in color and contrast. This gives the photo something extra, while still looking natural.
Different conditions apply to the budget-express photo shoot.

5 Submit and pay
- I will deliver the photo to you and also relinquish the copyright. This means that you have all usage rights and can use the photo for anything.
- I will then send an email with an invoice by name (and an IDEAL payment link).
- Are you satisfied with the result? Then leave a review!

No two photo sessions are the same, and I like to let that happen. Do you want to take a break, for example to have a drink, chat or check your phone? Just do that, because I don’t want you to feel rushed. If you feel comfortable, this will also be reflected in the photos.

monday – friday, from 10:30 till 19:00
Reservations can be made starting three weeks in advance. Simply changing or cancelling a reservation free of charge is possible up to 24 hours in advance.
On weekends I only photograph on location. Inquire about the possibilities.
In the studio or on location
My pop-up photo studio is temporarily located in Diemen, which is close to Amsterdam. The studio is easily accessible by car and public transport:
- Free parking in front of the door in the private parking lot
- Train and metro within walking distance
